That was for a game so terrible, that it took CA more than a year to get it in a playable state.
And those jokers rated it at 88 or 90.
You can decide why that is. (Were they paid off, or.....)
So keep that in mind for any rating from IGN and TW.

It's a German site, they posted a lengthy review but just don't have an English quote for metacritic.....

He's not the same person who posted the review for Rome 2 on IGN, but he has been posting review for Attila since. He also claims its the best total war CA have ever made, he's most likely a 3K fan in the first place, which is understandable
IGN is pretty unreliable when it comes to reviews, docking points for "white male protagonist" and such nonsense. But for the most part their scores are at the very least somewhat indicative of the games quality.
