Losing imperial favor whenever I attack looters.

I always lose -1 imperial favor when fighting looters, is anyone having a same problem?

Does Imperial favor have a purpose? Not sure what different it makes really.

Looters are consider Han faction, you lose favor if you fight han faction.

If you only losing -1, I think you must be using some mod. In the non-mod game, killing of a looter stack probably cause you -6 to -8 favor.

IMO, I have seen some stupid sh*t in various game. But, this imperial favor gotta be one of the top ten stupid idea. Implementing a penalty if you do battle in a "WAR game" is just plain stupid.

I think adding penalty for battling specific faction could be a interesting mechanic, if it's done correctly. But giving penalty for killing looters are nonsensical, you should be gaining favors instead of losing it. Thank you for the answer panderusw.

Since developer support is over, you can use the mod "Earlier Imperial Intrigue and Better Imperial Favor" which addresses some of the favor issues/balance in the game. I don't like the early intrigue, but its still miles better than vanilla.

looters are busted and always will be since CA ran away

So it's a bug that is a "feature" because the developer is to lazy to fix it.

I mean the quest to kill the looting criminals is from the empire as far as I can tell so are they just pissed you did your job and they have to pay you now?
