Yeah, the crashing is getting a bit out of hand. It makes it seem like CA cares far less about releasing tested and polished updates for 3K compared to Warhammer. I can't even remember the last time I crashed in Total War: Warhammer (with and without mods), yet I experience Three Kingdoms crashes very frequently when using mods and perhaps roughly once or twice per hour without mods. I've reinstalled the game and start new campaigns quite frequently in both games.
CA is absolutely aware of the crash-related issues that plague 3K, but they seem to feel comfortable neglecting them. Each 3K patch seems to bring about more bugs than they seem to fix as well. Neglect and sloppiness.
You could try tinkering with your save to maybe adjust the AI actions , and get it to avoid doing whatever is causing the crash.
