Tutorial is really bad.
Yes yes other posts mention it but it's worth repeating.
The tutorial is terrible and one of the worst I've seen. I see they were going for the immersive route but it's not good. Personally it's just information overload. Starting up i'm hit with a screen full of stuff I don't understand, with no content, and terms I don't know.

The majority of the actual tutorial and learning material isn't even in the game, it just points you to YouTube of all places. Hot tip: If your tutorial has to direct you away from the game, it's a bad tutorial, don't do it. I almost mistook this for a Paradox game.
A part of why i want to mention this is it's borderline ableist as the information overload, no pacing and information being all over the place can be hard for myself and some other autists to take in. I understand most people won't have this problem and that I speak for the few, but it must still be said. If none of this applies to you then I suppose you can ignore this post. :spyro:

Personally it only took a few seconds after starting a new game to think "what is all this" and went afk for a while. If I didn't buy this using a key, i'd probably have refunded. I'm glad I stuck it out because the game is fun but still. It's not a good tutorial. Not sure what the other Total War tutorials are like but I've read they're bad too, though I had no issues with Shogun 2 personally and enjoyed that game a lot too.

Rest of the game is fine. I think all the systems are great and the game is super interesting. I really like it and will play the hell out of it i'm sure. :luv:

Is bad, yes, At least is something, other games is learn it yourself by trial, error and repetition. Other TW titles had tutorials or even mini campaigns showing everything (kinda)

I learned a long time ago to avoid "tutorials" and only bother with them as a last resort.
Usually simple questions can be googled, or read in a guide someone wrote, rather than waiting 5 minutes to the program to allow you to even see if something works, or get to the point. (For some reason everyone forgot how to follow the standard of writing manuals)

What youre describing sounds like you're talking about being new to something you havent learned yet.
Is that really the teachers fault?
