I like Thrones, but it's much smaller in scale with far less content. If you want what many people consider a "true historical" game, Thrones is the best on this list, as it features generals with bodyguards and fairly slow-paced fights with great sieges. Troy and 3K both feature larger-than-life single-entity generals. It's not unlike Shohun 2 in that it has very few mechanics, but they work pretty well. Other games in the series often suffer from unbalanced feature bloat.
If you like meaningful diplomacy, city-building and campain mechanics Three Kingdoms is the way to go. It's great if you like economic and political depth but bad if you just want a classical "make money, build armies and fight battles" Total War.
I haven't played much Troy, so I can't say much about it.
Ok but why then is listed on Steam?
Your question should be answered by someone else better informed than me.
On a side note, I have like... 0 interest in both Britannia and Troy (being Saga titles and context/period era), so I can't tell you if 3K is better.
I like 3K, I feel it's the best Total War (EDIT : I've seen) in what it wanted to convey (city building, army management, diplomacy, Guanxi, ... ~ I like the UI as well !)
Variety and replayability aren't its strong point however (which are totally on Warhammer's side) ~ but considering all the previous TW you played, I don't think it will be an issue.
Thank you!. I am concerned, however, how much it would be considering DLCs. I yet have to study it but I took a quick look at Steam and Three Kingdoms have such a high amount of DLCs, the complete game should be something like >100$
Most of the DLCs add nothing to the base game, however. If you play the 190 start (the main start) and choose one of the main factions (I would strongly recommend doing so), none of the DLC adds anything except for Fates Divided which adds 5 unique units to Cao Cao and Yuan Shao each. Personally I would recommend playing the game without DLCs at first, you will miss out on nothing. If you like the game and want more playable factions from other cultures or different start dates you can pick up more DLCS, perhaps in a sale.
Ok, so first, just wanna say, nice machine you have there.
As far as your question goes though, that is going to be hard to answer. Based on what you have here though, I'm going to say...Three Kingdoms. Here is why:
You said that you don't want to have games across two platforms. So that pretty much rules Troy out.
With all the TW games that you have listed that you are going to play/are playing, Three Kingdoms is the only other game that does something a little bit different. In my opinion, Thrones of Britannia will feel too much like Attila or Rome 2, especially when you consider ToB is a cut down version of a mainline TW. Don't get me wrong, I love ToB, and highly recommend it. It's easy to pick up and play, but given your guidelines I won't recommend it here.
So Three Kingdoms because it is more character focused, is set in China as opposed to Europe like so many of the other TW games, and I think will overall just feel a little different for you.
