Crash on main menu ?

The screen resolution is too big, so after enter the game my screen is black, but i can still hear the music and when alt + tab i can still see game logo. When i heard the music i spamming esc to skip the intro then after few second the game crash to desktop, so i presume after i hitting esc, i have enter main menu with campain option etc but crash to desktop after it.
1. How do i change resolution without entering the game ? document didnt work for me, there no script file for me to edit although i already enter the game, may some1 give me the script file so i can download it ?
2. I dont know if the crash involve resolution or nor, but after encounter many similar error from other games, i think it's not, so can some1 help me how to fix it ? first time i see this kind of crash

The crash might be due to resolution but I cant be sure on that. In any case, if you have an Nvidia GPU, you should be able to change some of the game settings from Geforce Experience App.

If you have an Amd GPU, it should be under the Adrenaline App or something like that.

Now you mention GE, there a program call nvidia setting, SOMETIME it suddenly stop and exclamation mark appear below of it's icon, a short while later it turn back to normal with some announcement like the program been fix or sth like that, i dont remember. I guess it's my VGA driver ?

Thanks for these tips. Tried them but still crashing occasionally right as battles are engaged... Trying to figure out if its due to quicksave and then battling right away..

I was going to say delete the script file ..As i done that a few time ..

\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\ThreeKingdoms\scripts

I have more trouble with WH2 then China ..

Delete everything regarding TW 3K from your C folder, and then do a clean uninstall/reinstall.
