Playing Offline
This along with my other Total war games make it sound as though they can be launched and played while offline, until I had no internet last night and tried that and then I couldnt launch any of them..

Is there a trick to get it to work if your internet isnt working?

Is there a logical fking reason I should have to have the internet to launch and play this game vs AI.?

For Denuvo Anti-tamper games, game needs to connect online after each update or patch. There was a 5.2 GB update for three kingdoms yesterday.

After connecting online once, you can start steam in offline mode and play the game. I disable all my games.exe files from ever connecting online unless it has Denuvo.

So i tried this myself, and you can set steam offline for a whole month before it asks you to re login for verification. If steam is offline, ur games should work offline as well.

Also, its a digital game. So the logical reason to have internet is to be able to download this game, duh, doh, doih, hurr durr duuuuuh.

Whatever your situation is, if you were able to download a 30gb game, you got internet so dont pretend like you dont. Just set steam offline, and it should work offline.

It will work fine offline my second gamming rig has Rome 2 an Shogun 2 an Warhammer 2 install but it offline mode .been that way for 9 months now no problems at all ..But never try china one yet likely will work fine ..

This game can crash on u if the steam has to many players online so if u into LAN Playing with a group then purchase a server an have everyone hook into it . most we had is 17 players running offline for 3 days

The reason is to make sure you actually pay for the game. For example if it doesn't have to be online i could give all my friend copy of the game by installing it to their pc, log out, then everytime they want to play my game just go offline and they won't know they actually don't buy a copy of it

Also, this game has denuvo, so there are times when the game must be online. It's rare but it happens.

Usually denuvo is removed once the game get cracked right? So I thought in TW3K it should be the same

There is always one of those guys lol...

Thankfully there are usually more of the normal and helpful ones like we have on here.

I asked this question on Warhammer II as well and was referred to a mod manager that he said also lets you skip the launcher to avoid this problem.
