Unable to pause game

Recently I have not been able to pause the game or use the slowest setting during combat. Did I do something to turn this off.

Are you playing on legendary or have Battle Realism on?

I was playing legendary, but went bad to a normal game and the pause and slowest speed both did not work. What is battle realism and how does one set it?

When you play legendary, battle realism is activated. If you lower the difficulty once the campaign has started, then battle realism is still activated. In the faction selection screen, when you set the slider to legendary, battle realism activates, and if you lower the slider it remains activated, so you gotta make sure to un check the battle realism box.

If you are on normal battle difficulty (or lower than legendary anyway) I think you can turn it off in the game settings, but I don't remember.

I cant find the battle realism box to uncheck, where is it located. I finished my legendary game and started a new one in normal and the battle realism is still there.

Hi,

After selecting a new lord but before you start a new campaign, if you go to the options button the "Battle Realism Mode" check is located there.
