Edit Existing Mods with Assembly Kit?
Hey everyone,

Is it possible to open the pack files of existing workshop mods to see how they are with DAVE in the Assembly Kit? it would really help someone who is just getting started on modding.

I haven't figured out how to do it, so I wanted to ask here if any of you have experience with this.

I want to clarify that I do not intend to steal code from other modders at all, this is just to learn the ropes and make some personal QOL changes I would like to see. If I ever plan on sharing anything I make publicly, I will give the right credits of course.

Your best bet is to @ some modders, idk if this will help but i remember this from 1.5.0 patchnotes via their website...

In the 1.4.0 update, we implemented a change that baked CEO data into save files with the aim of making modding around patch updates a bit easier. However, this change has had a knock-on effect, and is causing save file crashes. As a result, we have chosen to revert it, disabling CEO data baking by default with the option to enable it through the preferences script (this might have an impact on mods moving forward). If you’re having any issues with mod content, make sure to read mod descriptions and ask the mod author for their recommendations.

what is CEO data .

I am also learning modding and need more tutorials on this .

1. The Database has so many Tab how do you know what changes gonna affect other Tab ?

2.For example i want to create new units, how do I know what need to be edited ? How did other moders knew it without any Official Guide from CA ?

3.In the Mesh Variant editor how to add more parts ( the right windows options ) references into it so i can use it and create new units ?

I’m no modder or anything but there are tutorials, honestly if your new this game might be above your level considering how hard just average modders are dealing with this series, the easiest moddable total war is medieval 2, got around 200hours just due to hyrule total war (which has moved on from medieval 2 and is being rebuilt via a different game)
