Mandate of heaven OR World Betrayed
Hello!

I want to buy dlc for TW3K. I saw some gameplays from Eight Princes and in my opinion it is not worth my money (we can discuss this ofc) so i am considering these two. Is it big difference between them? I know about some characters differences so maybe looking up to it?

Depend on who do you like Liu Chong, Han Emperor, yellow turban or Lu Bu, Sun Ce. Mandate gives more content but all its characters are much less prominent in the books so I prefer WB.

Wolrd betrayed is smaller then Mandate of Heaven, in my opinion MoH is much better the WB. You get more with the dlc and it's more interesting.

Both are good, i personally like Mandate of Heaven and build my own story from the fall of the Han or Rise, but Lu Bu is fun in World Betrayed :duranceleft::duranceright:

Like was mentioned above, if you only get 1 choice, go for the one that has factions you are interested in. If you prefer the imperial route, choose MoH, if you like bandits and LuBu/SunCe, go for WB. Yes there is more than than, but those are some of the big changes between the 2.

I would buy neither. They're both buggy messes right now and really not playable.

both are working fine for me? the only time anything bad happens is that co-op campagins dont get missions.

What "Kitten Food" said. If you prefer to keep to the 3K period, then either MoH or a WB.

But personally, I enjoyed 8P, it totally changes the characters and adds new mechanics. There is less empty map too... I think that it got way too much flak but just because it is so far from the 3K events...

So if you have no special love for the 3K events and characters (or you feel that you already played most of there was to be played without DLC) then 8P could be something to freshen up the game before you go back to the other DLC with all the familiar characters.

Right now, World Betrayed is the better product because the developers broke MOH.

Once they fix the expansion, it depends on how much you like
Dong Zhuo, Yellow Turbans, Liu Bei and Liu Hong
against
Sun Ce, Lu Bu, Cao Cao and Yuan Shu.

I have not played either of the two new DLC's, but if you were not impressed by eight princes then i doubt you would be impressed by these two new DLC's either.

What we actually need is expansion to add proper content to the game. These past two paid-DLC's seem rather unimaginative reshuffles of vanilla game and always does the same thing, which is just new faction resource and starting positions.

Other content that would be acceptable is character pack to add more potraits and fleshing out the basic legendary characters, as bland looking characters just seem be treated like garbage. If they don't have amazing traits and levels then they get pretty much get thrown out the kingdom.

I got Mandate of Heaven and played as the Emperor for 5 turns and just swapped back to Cao Cao. The Emperor plays like every other faction except all you aren't allowed to replace anyone till you get enough political influence. Its like playing any other warlord except you got to wait 10 turns to remove the guy that is giving you terrible debuffs from office.

So in terms of Mandate of Heaven, I don't really see anyone reason to get it other than earlier start date and role playing some of the new factions. I mean I bought it for simply the earlier start date to fulfill my Cao Cao fantasies, so I can't say I was disappointed. But overall it doesn't really add much at all in new mechanics that you don't get in the free patch and normal 190 campaign.

I don't think the World Betrayed dlc really adds anything other than allowing you to play Lu Bu or the new Bandit faction from the start in terms of new paid content. Or well at least beyond Lu Bu's gimmick of bonus movement points after each battle.
