How to get Zhou Tai in A World Betrayed - I think I found abug
Okay, so a lot of people have been having issues getting this event to fire, and people have been thinking that this event is tied to fighting around Poyang.

Many people thought it was tied to mine or to the city, but others have reported getting him without taking these particular settlements, and others reported not getting him despite following the same steps as youtubers.

So, I did some digging. I looked at the campaign script. It turns out that Zhou Tai's event is in the campaign startup script for Sun Ce.

The event is meant to fire after fighting your 4th battle as Sun Ce, which makes sense that people are getting him around either the mine or city in Poyang, since that's where most people go when they first start, and if you're following the objectives, they should get you to your 4th battle.

So what's the problem? I think it's two things.
1) The code for this fires (I suspect) only on the campaign start, but it does not start again when you load into a campaign. What this means is that effectively, you will get him after your 4th battle, but only if you fight those 4 battles in your first play session after starting the campaign. If you save and load back in, the event will never fire because the bigger script which calls the event only starts the first time your start the campaign.

2) If the code does not run only on campaign start, it also lacks code that "counts" and "tracks" the number of battle, so essentially, when you load back in, the script has "forgotten" how many battles you've fought or if you've completed the 4th battle.

TLDR - If you want to get the Zhou Tai event to fire in your new Sun Ce A World Betrayed campaign, you have to fight 4 battles with Sun Ce in your first play session of the new campaign. DO NOT LEAVE THE CAMPAIGN UNTIL AFTER you've got the event that spawns him.

I tested it last night and today, and the results are pretty consistent. Feel free to check yourself, but I think this is the issue.

Now to find what's causing the Qiao sister's from not appearing...

Really appreciate your finding.

I'm new to database and scripting things. May I know where did you find the bug? Basically, which file or which table. I'd like to take a deep look to understand more and possibly find the Qiaos bug. Thanks!

Thanks!!!, so how about the sisters (Qiao)

I've had at least 6 attempts where he hasn't shown up even after playing for hours straight and without loading, that and the Qiaos.

The Qiao sisters I have no idea. They weren't in the script that Zhou Tai was in. I should mention though that since the latest updates and the next round of updates, this information could be outdated.

I feel like I can safely 100% confirm this. At least on Hard/Hard. I've restarted sun ce's campaign 6 times in a row now, because everytime I get xindu I'm not getting Lu Meng for some reason. But I would attack Liujang town on turn 1. Turn 2, get Zhou Yu. Turn 3, fast travel along the river to just outside of Xindu fishing port. Turn 4, take it. Turn 5, go to the edge of the fishing port area by Poyang copper mine. Turn 6, take it. Rinse and repeat runs 5 and 6 on turns 7 and 8 to take Poyang town. aaaand I get Zhou Tai and Jiang Qin, along with Taishi Ci, everytime. On another note, if anyone can tell me why I might not have gotten Lu meng six times in a row, I'm all ears...

I think Lu Meng is too young at the start of the campaign, so he'll only appear if he's come of age. I'm not positive, but I think he's supposed to appear later once he comes of age, even if you've conquered the proper settlement too early.

I always wait to take his town until a little later just so I'm sure he's old enough.
