I played for another 50 turns until year 190. Game after victory = Basically annexing every land that is near me, declare alliance war on those big factions so my "empire" can swallow them. I just sit behind and annex their lands. LOL.

mods: Radious part 1 and part 2.

Well done. Now do it with someone else.

Yeah it is easy but not that easy. Radious mods are an unbalanced mess and i would prefer if they would offer pure unit packs seperatly. You earn 15k per round on round 16. In Vanilla you would have to consalidate your finances for the first dozends of round.

Victory around Turn 40 should be a thing and that it should flow over in to the Grand Campaign and the original Start Date.

Yeah, Radious is garbage, always has been. Liu Hong is easy either way though.

Agree about the unit packs and the economy.

yea, i like those new units. feels more immersive. they claimed to improve AI to make it harder tho
You complain about Radious Mod yet it has always been the most Popular Mod for every Total War game and people continue supporting it.

Popularity =/= Quality

+1
I do like Radious mod myself, but the truth is it makes the game incredibly easy. Try the same with vanilla, or sfo

It depends what you like. I for once don't need 20 armies in one place if only 3 can participate in a battle and it also is never tested for late game. If i play vanilla on very hard and leave Yuan Shao alive until round 100, than i have to face 5 to 9 armies of him alone, not mentioning his allies. Imagine that with the Radious mod which allows 3 times (?) the amount of armies.

I am a more tradionally player who starts costum battles just to look at some units again and again, and someone who tries in his campaign to have real 3k scenarios where 3 factions are left on the map and they battle it out instead of rushing to victory in round 16. Thats simply nothing i have fun with. I never go world conquest in Grand Strategy titles or have the goal to actually win the campaign. However Radious mods seem to aim at that. I liked the Empire TW Version a lot, but since Shogun 2 it just went full crazy. Partly also the units. I don't need the tenth same old units model just with other weapons. That's nothing more than CA deliveres us (Like the new Tao Qiao units "urrrgh" - "boring"). A lot of it is simple DB editing which i can do on my own. I would appreciate a lot more if they had actually more artists that create really new units with new armour etc.

But thats just my own opinion. I don't judge anyone who likes the Mod, but i defend myself for not liking it. My initial statement was just to mention that the OP is not representative because the Mod massivly alters the game and you can't critizize the DLC when you made it purposly easier to beat it.

Nah as you can see, I played Zhang bao VH, without Radious and I can achieve victory in 50 turns. Even with Radious I was only fielding 2 armries for the most part, and focus my money on building economy. Even if i didn't play with Radious I can probably win in 30 turn without any problem.

Without the mod you would have massive problems to afford more than 1 1/3 Army until round 30. I can steamroll also a lot with two armies but in my most games i start to afford them on round 30-40. Of course i raise them earlier but with the effect to not upgrade or built anything. If i buy a second Army as Liu Hong i am totaly bankrott by round 10 with two full armies. Thats just it.
