Is early game a bit boring for some factions like Cao Cao?
I was playing Cao Cao and i felt that it was a bit boring becoz there was barely any yellow turban or looter arrmies near me. Im also surrounded by allies such as Yuan Shu and Liu Chong, so i really dunno what to do other than spamming next turn just to build my cities and resources.

I mean i dun mind, but am i doing the right thing? Also Cao Cao had infertile trait, was that part of the event or just coincidence.

Cao Cao (Very Hard) IS boring in early game, and if you play around with diplomacy it would even leak into mid game. Unless you start a war with a major faction or with Tao Qin early on it's pretty much free real estate on Han and lesser factions.
Not to mention you can get Yuan Shao busy fighting your neighbor before he decides to randomly declare war, you can just watch and build up economy, then clean up on both side. By turn 90 I pretty much know its a easy end game on two play through. I guess he's just easy due to the faction power.

I've never seen Cao Cao with that trait.

The eunch Cao in Liu Hongs court has it, but Cao Cao? That's a new one.

I was actually playing the Mandate of Heaven year 184 Cao Cao. But i guess i can just wait and then pounce later.

lol they said Cao Cao has been kicked to his groin too many times. Thats funny.. I hope it doesnt affect his ability to breed Cao Pi, Cao Ren, etc.

Cao Ren is Cao Cao's cousin. So are Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan, and Cao Hong. Cao Pi is his son, and he's born in 187 AD. I'm sure the game has a forced event that leads to his birth, because he's kind of a big deal.

If you are doing the 184 start then you could also start feuds with other empires subjects to expand early on

Cao Cao's infertile trait is from Wu Kingdaissance. It's not part of the actual game.

My Liu Bei is impotent in my game. Married Lady Wu. Maybe she's the impotent one.

Not that it matters.

Damn, does that mean u wont have children? Its funny becoz i dunno if its part of the game or the mod, but now my 2nd child isnt Cao Pi.. its some generic character. I'm probably going to disown him haha

He's 45 and Lady Wu is 47 and still no kids. He conquered China and united it, but there's going to be succession issues after he and Lady Wu dies. By then both Zhang Fei and Guang Gong would be old men, so the succession probably comes down to Zhu Ge Liang vs Guo Jia with Zheng Jiang as the wild card.

Really cool game, ended with Zhu Ge Liang, Lady Wu, Pang Tong and Guo Jia as ministers/heir, pumping out faction bonuses like no tomorrow (-15% corruption, 2 extra armies, +10% campaign movement bonus, +15% ranged damage, massive satisfaction and public order boosts). Lady Wu is one heck of a good faction heir.

For military had Xiaohou Dun, Zhang Fei, Guang Gong, Zheng Jiang (!) for almost the entire game. And even had a shot at Lu Bu but passed since there is no way to keep him happy early on.
