And I don't object to they fight on the ground, this is a bit probability, but CA needs to reduce this situation.
Well, given that they did not fight face to face in real life, it being in game would be fiction. And good fiction is as awesome as possible. Thus, they fight on foot.
Reduce what and how?
I would say that I never gave it any thought. That they fought the majority of the duel on foot. But they did also fight on horse to begin with which was very cool. And a completely unseen, never before done feature in a Total War game. I think it's brilliant that they have managed to achieve the transition of on-horse combat into foot combat.
This has been a feature I've awaited for a long time. I wonder but don't really expect to see this happen in normal combat with mounted troops engaging. That would leave the unit with a mix of mounted and unmounted. This is a game and I don't think it would work out. But for the duel, it was very cool to see done.
I am left wondering about what happens at the end of the duel. Will the horse circle back to the champion? Or will they remain on foot? As above stated, it's a game, it's a sandbox game of the romanticised era where the Three Kingdoms originated.
And maybe this is just the limit of what CA can do. Maybe it is just this way so they don't have to push further with combined mount and combatant animations. But E3 hasn't even started yet? And the game doesn't come out now until Spring. So there is still hmmm, plenty of content to be covered. My guess is we just haven't seen everything they have to offer in a 5minute video considering the animation work done on Warhammer.
