own retinue, own army, this army
As the title says i find that many of the hero skills are applied to different targets, for example:

Instinct reduces recruitment cost only on "this army"

Authority boosts moral only on his "own retinue"

Cunning gives more military supplies to his "own army"

This is confusing to me, can anybody tell what's the exact difference between these terms and what exactly they affect?

I think all of those only apply to their retinue

"Own retinue" Only on himself and all troops directly under his command (so not on other troops in the same army). Every general leads a maximum of 6 units, which is his retinue.

whats so hard about it? retinue is the general units, army is the whole army which includes other generals and their units? clear text

"this army" means it applies to all units within the army. Including the retinue of the other generals.

"own army" and "this army" seems to mean the same thing as far as I can tell. I'm attributing that one to bad UI design.

"commanded army" also means it applies to the whole army, but only if that general is the commanding general.

And what's the difference between own army and this army?

Own army likely if you're the Commander of the army.

I think it goes like this:

"Own retinue" means it affects to the 6 units under his command.
"This army" means it affects to all the units in the army regardless of who is the general of the whole army.
"Own army" means it affect to all army as long as he is the General.

not really sure about it but it makes sense to me.
