So I played Zheng Jiang and Lu Bu was a menace to deal with. I gave him the full attention of my archers, then had two champions (including Zheng Jiang with her twin axes) fight him just to bring him down... And this was in record mode.
I am aware that there are some formations present, but I found most of them to be irrelevant and/or not worth bothering. The only formation I found to be useful was the tortoise/turtle which is pretty much the same as Rome 1 and 2 testudo.
This is my personal preference, but instead of making halberd infantries always have massive counter charge in the front, making them have some spear wall formation(like Rome's hoplite) which will give them counter charge stats and massive frontal defence, while sacrificing mobility vulnerability from the sides would have been nice. We could have implemented this kind of things to a variety of units.
There are way more formation in 3K than even Rome 2. You just don't have access to it yet.
Didn't know there was a spear wall. Only saw shield wall so far. Maybe I am mistaken here :p
