Why do some people still dislike this game?

I understand the UI needs work but, saying things like 'lack of variety' and proceed to praise shogun 2? Are you serious? Shogun 2 has the largest amount of homogenous units I have ever seen.

criticism isnt, hate. pretty juvenile comment from your part calling others brats..
I dont like how stupid the battle ai is, but thats always up for a change patch or mods.

Some reasons:

There are crashes here and there. The game is not bug-free yet.

The random names for generals get annoying after 1 run, especially for fans of the novels.

People have serious trouble about how to follow the story, i.e annexing Tao Qian as Liu Bei for example. The chance is pure RNJ for now. Again, for fans of the novels it's annoying.

No naval combat. Many Chinese most likely haven't played Rome 2.

Yuan Shao doomstacks are roasting people.

Too many female. Yes you know, Rome 2 debacle again...

Arcade/fantasy look. And ignore the facts that there is record mode.

As for people complaining about unit variety, they most likely compare to Warhammer (Dumb as f k, I have to say), not Shogun 2. Or they forgot how Shogun 2 was on release.

Oh, and for some, just because it's Chinese setting.

You know as long as CA doesn't change the engine, lots of things that persist in several titles cannot really be perfected.

How about the nonexistence of naval battle? In a Three Kingdom theme strategy game?
You know what (The Kingdom of) Wu is best at? And the greatest and best known battle of the era?
Combine the fact that they actually have it in Rome 2 and Attila.
So it's not they cannot make it. They just won't.

Game refunded. Will consider to buy it at at least 50% off.
If they don't make a full game. Why should I buy at full price.

TW's naval combat sucks. It's clucky, awkward to control, slow as hell.
I don't know much about everyone, but for me I'd autosolve naval combat everytime after the first time I try.
CA was not good at making naval combat, like seriously not. They tried, and it's unpopular. Most people don't play it. That's why they don't do it. Yet.
I'd prefer CA to do the thing they are good at. There're still a lot of stuff this game can improve. Naval combat can wait until CA find the right format for it.
