Lu Bu's Smouldering Fury (Romance Mode)

Lu Bu is a strong general specialized in dealing high damage, which I completely understand. But one thing that really bothers me is that his passive have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ -100% melee evasion which makes him into a glass cannon (in duels). Sure he gets the 400% melee dmg and armor piercing in return but what is the point of having high dmg if you can not hit? Plus, he doesn't have a high HP to compensate for that enormous debuff.
I mean, in Romance Lu Bu was able to take Zhang Fei, Guan Yu and Liu Bei at the SAME TIME. For a guy who is able to fight 3 vs 1 this seems to be utterly untrue in game. And for the people who says that he is op in Romance, if you ever read the book, he is meant to be OP more OP than this.
Can you guys get rid this horrendous debuff? Pretty Please?

Oddly enough Lu Bu was probably the scariest in ROTK9 - Where the game went all in on the real time empire sim management. Not only was he among the best Cavalry and Cavalry Archer generals in the game but Cavalry tactics could randomly force duels.

But in any case from what I've heard Lu Bu is basically an uber Vanguard. That meaning that his specialty is still causing massive damage to troops while incidentally being Champion tier in duels... Just not so dramatically great that he could take on 2.5 hero tier duelists.

This doesn't fix anything at all. Like I said, in DUELS, 1 V 1, and still Lu Bu gets his ass kicked most notably by generals who are focused on Expertise (Purple) which gives em high melee evasion more so with passives and actives.
For example: Zhao Yun, he gets 50% passive buff plus another 50% active plus another 40% with his expertise maxed out. He becomes nigh unkillable.
He is depicted as a strong general in Romance but in reality many of Zhao Yun's actual exploits were highly dramatised and does not come close to Lu Bu's strength.

Bruh, all actual exploits are highty dramatised.. if you think that's only Zhao Yun... Most personal general exploits are heavily dramatised lol. Or do you actually believe all of it?

Yes they all are, but many deeds like Lu Bu's firing an arrow in the tip of the Ji was actually real and he was not a side character like Zhao Yun.

Zhao Yun was actually nothing more than a footnote in history but because of his one deed of saving the child and wife of Liu Bei, and because of his integrity as an honorable soldier, he became mighty popular and created a lot of myths about him to exalt him even more.

I haven't played with Lu Bu so I can't say for certain but for duels buffs to benefit them. So if you have an ally with a buff to evasion or some other AoE buff pop that on them.

Well. Actually he like almost oneshoted Dong Zhuo from around 65% HP in my last battle, but lost allmost all of his HP in the duel too. Pretty weird.

Zhao Yun indeed came from Gongsun Zan, after his leave and going to Liu Bei, he acted as a captain of a cavalry unit, then his records disappears. Then suddenly he is mentioned Battle of Changban (saving both the baby and lady of Liu Bei) And the whole Five Tiger Generals IS FROM THE ROMANCE, In fact he acted more as a bodyguard rather than a general. Another notable achievement was at the Battle of Ji Valley, where he acted as a rear guard and diminished a lot of casualty.
And that's just it about him. Everything else came from the Romance and pretty much from unknown sources and myths.
I mean, if that is just not a foot note then I dunno what else it is.

The five tiger generals were: Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Huang Zhong , Ma Chao and Zhao Yun.

Lu Bu was not one of the tiger generals.

It's rather easy to mod, if you want to. Under special_ability_phase_stat_effects_tables, you can find the 5 stages of smouldering fury. Edit stat_melee_defence to your liking.

He absolutely destroys armies by himself. Making him S tier in duels would be stupidly unbalanced. I can see why CA didn't do it.

But I guarantee you a modder will. Just give it time.
