Those recruit pools are identical.
They are in the same faction.
The only difference between the two armies is the Strategist.
As far as I can tell, it's either from strategists or items.
For example, infantry can't form a wedge,cavalry can't form a turtle, archers can't form a shield wall, and so on.
Also, militia unit's can only do a few very basic formations like Loose.
That s annoying, a little more clarity about that would be appreciated.
If so, that was unlocked by the Strategist.
Without a strategist, you do not even get Loose Formation!
Could the unit not do more then Loose?
If so, that was teh low tier Units.
Units have formations but generally you seem to need a Strategist to unlock them.
