Why do we have to complain about the game being barely playable due to someone assuming that font size of 6 is perfectly readable every single time a new title is released?

The worst part is the option to scale the UI is in the game. But someone for some unknown reason assumed that you would not need it on 1920x1080. Making the UI take less space is not a good thing when done on expense of users actually being able to read.

Yes I agree, im on 2560 x 1440 and the text is too small and they wont let you increase the fixed default scaling (130%)

I looked in the scripts folder and there is a config file in there that states scaling for UI can go from 0.5 - 2.0. I play x1440 and the default 1.30 scaling is way too small. I want 2.0 scaling but if I change it in the file, the game reverts it when I load... its like hard coded to do only 1.30 for x1440 resolution no matter what the config file states. I can't play it, its too hard to read.

Once you change the file try to lock it by making it read only. could work.

Didn't work. The file stayed at 2x scaling which would mean 200% ingame, but once the game was loaded the UI scaling still said 130% ingame and there was no change to the UI, it was still 130% despite telling the config file to be 200% and read-only.

I really hope the game is not hard coded for UI scaling max based on resolution.

I have some vision issues (not blind but have probs with small fonts) but play Britiania as well as WH2 well but this is too small and wont even let me scale on my 4k tv. sigh Does anyone know how to get a refund.. depressing as I have had every total war game they ever made. I guess this is the end for me. Got to figure out now how to refund. depressing
