Cow Cow is right pronunciation when you speak english. You should pronounce names in the language that you talk.

Afterall different kinds of Chinese pronounce his name differently. German wikipedia shows it:

Cáo Cāo (chinesisch 曹操, Pinyin Cáo Cāo, IPA (hochchinesisch) [ʦʰɑo̯˧˥ ʦʰɑo˥], W.-G. Ts'ao Ts'ao, Jyutping Cou4 Cou1,

Um... fairly sure that's actually one of the things you don't do. You can't just pronounce names like, I dunno, "Deveraux", in English. It's outright murder. It might work for some, but you should always strive to pronounce people's names in their language, not yours.

Hehe its funny that you take a french name because I as a Swiss can garantee you the French are incapable of pronouncing anything right that isn't french.

What, you mean you don't pronounce it "dee-vee-rocks"?

This. When I knew that his name is supposed to be pronounced as LYU PUH, the name lost all sense of intimidation. It just sounded silly. I'll stick to LOO BOO. Besides, I'm not going to be pronouncing that name irl anyway.

Same here. Will for ever be LOO BOO. I grew up playing Dynasty Warriors damn-it, and that's how I'm ALWAYS going to pronounce them.

As someone who has read the book multiple times, read Chin Ping Mei, Water Margin and Journey to the West, learned chinese (then forgot it :P)...

...I still say cow cow in my head sometimes.

Though it sounds weirder to me than tsao tsao does now. XD
