Fix the stupid AI or everyone is going to quit this game
Nothing smart we can see from the AI, they don't know what and when to attack/defend in the campaign map, we can always win a battle when outnumbered by just killing all their archers by cavs followed by crushing everything from their back. AI are just cheating to bring difficulties to players, not fun at all.

one of the reasons i stopped buying TW games. in rome 2 the nomadic tribes would just camp your lands with raiding mode and ruin your towns and short of declaring war and killing them theres nothing you can do about it. and the nomads gets a ridiculous amount of cash to bring full stacks of armies out of nowhere. then every other AI will see you as an aggressor and join in to declare war. The diplomacy system is just broken as hell, country left with just one stack of troops and no cities would not surrender/peace just because.

That’s every total war for you man, try the multiplayer battles if you’re looking for a proper challenge in battle

Did you try legendary on both difficulty? The combat AIs aren't that good, but AIs do gang up on your city with multiple armies

Don't worry I sent a letter to DeepMind to update the AI in this game, you will never be able to win another campaign/battle after they complete it!!!!!!!

I mean what did you expect? The AI is 100% an improvement on warhammer, where the enemies just charge and blob up with 0 tactics.

That's very clever, actually. They get you to bear the brunt of their former enemy's wrath, then turn on you both when you are exhausted.

Pay attention to the AI factions and you will see that they constantly declare war on one another, fight a few battles, then make peace without changing much territory if at all. It's a fake way to make the campaign map look busy without much happening. Endless stalemates everywhere. Seems like they programmed it to avoid one or two clans snowballing and taking over the whole map, but you'd think corruption would accomplish that goal. But of course the AI doesn't play by the same rules as humans.

Tell that to Gong Du wiping out Ma Teng in my last campaign, whilst Zheng Jiang migrated into Shuofang as a result of Liu Bei heading into her mountains (at which point Lu Bu appeared out of nowhere to wipe her out and Gongsun Zan conquered Zhang Yan), which also left his home region of Dong basically undefended allowing Kong Rong with a whopping five armies of at least two generals each to take over.

There was also a very confused and very old Tao Qian sitting in his Pengcheng farmlands at this point, wondering what had gone wrong with history.
