Horse back duel?
General-ly speaking duels between generals back then are on horse back which is why I find it weird that the duel always starts with one of the general knocked down to the ground and the opponent dismount as well.

There was a mod that limits the duels to only horseback. However, the draw back is that duels now takes forever to finish because instead of staying in one place or riding side by side trading blows, the generals will do the initial horseback jousting clash towards one another, and then circle around for another clash. These "clashes" only count as the equivalence of one hit - same damage as one hit on the ground. So you basically takes 5-10 times as long to finish off a general.

Also, most skills that can turns the tides of the duel in your favor now requires precise timing to set off because a lot of those skills require your general to be near the opponent (read: right next to him), but since the duels on horse back only last one second every hit, it's impossible to use those skills in a duel. So it's all a crapshoot

I'm sure there's a way to fix this once the Workshop is opened up and people can modify the damage multiplier or something, but for now, just let the general dukes it out Dynasty Warriors styles on foot.

Didn't know there is a mod for this now. Thanks!
