more than 2 players for multiplayer campaign

will this ever become a thing? my brother and i love the multiplayer campaign. we have a rl friend who would love to buy the game and play with us, only the multiplayer campaign is only for 2 players. any thoughts?

Every other turn based strategy game has somehow figured out how to make more than 2 player games with simultaneous turns, yet Total War, the one that's been around for 20+ years, has not.

Ya know this game is literally based on history and story. The 3 KINGDOMS. what is it supposed to be here? The 2 player kingdoms and a robot? Lol I think not

This game should have more than just 2 players multiplayer campaign. Playing with bots should be just a tutorial before we play with other players in campaign. This is what would be expected from a game like this. I won't mind paying for this feature in a dlc if it can be added.
