Too many female Faction Leaders

First got to say this has been a wonder game compared to the past titles. However the one thing that has been really killing the campaign immersion is the endless amount of Female Faction leaders.

I understand its 2019 and we have to rewrite history and obey the empowered movement...
But really why are nearly all the factions who's faction leader has been killed of are then heired by a female?

I've watched and read Romance of the Three Kingdoms since I was a kid, never once was a female mentioned as a general or a faction leader. Women player a role but not as any faction or warlord.

If you have to be politically correct at least do it like the way Koei has done so with the dynasty warriors series.
They were able to implement women into the game brilliantly and it flows.

Atleast let us have the option to disable female faction leaders. It makes no sense what so ever.

I mean, the reason it's incredibly common for factions, minor factions in particular, to be succeeded by women is pretty simple, and I don't think has anything to do with politics (beyond whatever one interprets in the existence of female characters and their implementation): most minor factions don't have a very well-developed family tree. Most of them have a wife, and... that's it. So, you kill the faction leader, their wife inherits the faction.

It's why with factions that actually have a more developed family tree (namely most of the major factions) will pass on their faction to their (often male) children... Yuan Shao leaves his territory to his son Yuan Tan, Yuan Shu leaves his to his son Yuan Yao, I think everyone's well-acquainted with Dong Min inexplicably inheriting Dong Zhuo's territory after a coup, Cao Pi will usually inherit from Cao Cao (possibly in a Lady Bian regency depending on how early Cao Cao dies), and so on. I don't think there's any conspiracy or agenda in the common trend of wives taking over minor factions once you kill the faction leader, I think it's a mixture of not a lot of dev time/resources going to this particular element and a natural consequence from the game design.

Most of the time when you kill the faction leader you've already killed off its heir as well. That only leaves the leader's wife as the heir.

The faction should have an under aged son growing. In that case, the wife will only be the leader until the son gets to age of 18. I think this happened a lot historically as well. The leadership always follows the lineage, even through female.

Or... you could stop playing and go do some historical research on te Three Kingdoms era, and try to see in which way women have been erased from romanced historical tales, as it has always been in every culture on earth since thousands of years...

And then after years of expertise on the topic, come back playing with you mind at ease, knowing that, anyway it is romanced and you know that a lot have been lost between historical facts and Luo Guanzhong's tale.
