He will be in his own dlc maybe?

If I recall he died before the actual Three Kingdoms period after the Yellow Turbans were first put down by the Han.
He's dead before the time the game starts.

oh so this isnt the same yellow turban rebellion that happens in the Dynasty Warrior franchise?

Game starts in 190 Jiao died in like 184. He might be in a campaign pack.

The events of the yellow turban rebellion have already happened, we're up to the Dong Zhou events.

Nope, this is more so the remnants. Historically Zhang Jiao died in the year 184 AD, meanwhile the game starts at 190 AD, so it's been a good six years since his death. To be completely honest the time period where Zhang Jiao was alive would have led to the Yellow Turban Rebellion factions being overpowered, so I guess it would have only worked if he controlled a small fraction of the actual YTR hold with a few other YTR warlords also being playable.

Will probably never happen since there are no factions to play. People like Cao Cao were just a general serving the Han. As a historical battle later maybe.

They could make it work pretty easily with an alliance between most of the factions rather than them being the Han and scripted events. Even if the events tend to not always pan out.

Considering they're apparently wanting to do timeline DLCs over faction DLCs we might see it later.

If I remember correctly. Zhang Jiao was one of the people that rise up to start the rebellion but it was a small margin of people who took up arms though he was executed before the actually rebellion started which was the idealogy to Cleanse china so after the leaders died new ones started to form which was the Yellow Turbans.

The timeline DLC idea makes more sense to me, because if you have played ROTKXIII there are quite the number of events that happened over a period of time. I guess they could be also faction related as well but it makes more sense to me to have them as timeline based.

This would also open the door to have new famous legendary generals as well. Heck even at one point in the dynasty warrior serious Sima Yi had his own faction entirely!
Kwiserach Jun 13, 2019 @ 7:49pm
If you get Sima Yi in game and make him your heir (like Lu Bu) you'll get the Jin Faction for him when he takes over as ruler (like Lu Bu) :duranceleft::duranceright:

Yeah, I would love a Jin scenario to come out as DLC.
