How to ditch the Emperor as Dong?
Stupid Han empire vassal keeps getting me into wars xD Turn 70 and all I could do so far is defend my starting area xD

Would I really have to lose Chang An to get rid of him?

you could try (if thats even an option for the han empire) to annex their whole faction and sell off their regions for profit

I got more unique characters than ever before thou since everyone is coming at me xD

While I got the emperor I can also not become a vassal.

why did you kidnap the emperor in the first place?

Its Dong Zhuo campaign...

It seems impossible to do apart from perhaps changing the capital to some worthless place and then losing it. Otherwise on hard dificulty it seems impossible to win the campaign. Oh and its not becaause of yuan shao lol. He's rather... tame.

This could actually be it. As crafty as it is ridiculous.

I mean I'm pretty sure you can just GIVE changan to someone just take some trade for it. Let them deal with it. then Raze it. There is an achievement actually for razing the capital as the dong so I gave it to my friend in our co op campaign because I thought it be funny since he didn't know how annoying the Han are to keep and then I razed the city lol.

Well Dong Zhou is really the most hated guy, if you have him killed and replace by Lu Bu, everyone actually warms up to him in my game :o I only attack Gong Du in the beginning which is a major pain unless I set a trap specifically to kill Du early game, otherwise it can drag to mid-game X.x Because I keep attacking a Yellow Turban and everyone else fight, eventually they want me to sign a non-aggro pack and from there they begin to like me :s Of course playing as Dong Zhou side, you'll eventually find yourself against the Yuan Shao vassal coalition so even as Lu Bu, nobody can fight a 3/4/5/6 fully stacked army even if they are attrition on your lands, it's almost a endless wave X.x

I actually keep the Han because every other faction is so far away from me to fight me and Han outside my area is just causing minor distraction for me. Eventually when everyone like me to declare a peace treaty, they don't even attack the Han, even Sun Jian stop his expansion at the south, leaving a chuck of Han untouched. It's Yuan Shao you got to watch out for, because once he vassal all the major powers, eventually everyone fights you again because of him X.x I guess it's the same for any other faction you play as regardless :/

how about you STFU and read my post?

Yuan Shao is peacful and tame in my game. He doesn't like me but we're not at war. What gets me into trouble is that everyone declares war on my vassal the Han.

isnt yuan shao the head of the coalition to bring down dong zhuo? sounds like you might be trying to break the game

Jezz easy there big Dong, I get your Han is being attacked but stick that ♥♥♥♥ back in. No need to be hostile, I'm just offering my 2 cent of my play through and what others are experiencing. No need to get your panties all tied up. If you can't handle it, just restart your game or why bother posting something and asking for replies if you aren't accepting other people's input? :/ So you want to know straight up about your question? Ok I'll answer, don't play as Dong if you can't take the heat :/ Sure you can drop Han and play however you want but what's the point of the question then, you already decided to drop him because he is a magnet for war OR you keep him and take his territory/resources via diplomacy to expand your lands. How you get rid of him? Up to you, have it attack by not having an army there, be vassal to someone, etc. I'm sure you know the mechanics by now to get rid of a vassal under you.

I call it the vassal coalition. It's really just a bunch of his vassals, not really a coalition. I'm not breaking the game because he vassals, he just vassal's too well/too much/too easy. I actually just posted a new topic about it with supporting source being mentioned by Total War verbally about it so you can find that out.
