Mind you, I ended with like 550 - 600 guys alive still somehow.
One such instance was where I was preparing to attack a small city, but didn't have enough action points to actually reach the city (Stopped just shy).
During the AI's turn, they moved two armies to the city and had one of them come out to attack me, bringing the second army and the city's garrison along as reinforcements. But the armies were both small.
Was only a battle of 1437 (My Side) vs 1692 (Their side). I ended up winning, losing only 291 with the enemy suffering 1100 losses. It was fairly unremarkable... But the game insisted it was a 'Heroic Victory'.
