Overall, I think the satisfaction management are just there to have something to be a pain in the ass. Life always have these things so why not games?!
Slightly higher ranks costs 1600 gold just to promote. Freaking stupid.
my problem is when some general already have the highest rank and can not be promoted any more, when he level up at some point the general will ask for higher court position (accessories can only be given once, so it won't do any good at this point)
and that when the problem start, fewer court/ council position, too many (stuck up) general asking for court/council position
that the limit I am talking about, there should be more options to appease those higher level general .... antique, girl, booze etc .....
Then fire them. If you're at that point in the game where you're struggling to make ends meet, then fire all non-essential and disloyal officers. Administrator positions also give a nice loyalty boost.
Tech tree has -##% reduction in salary. That can give a meaningful boost.
There are many ways to satisfy the nobles, but always make sure to check their service history and personality traits to see if they are worth the effort. Probably the least resource consuming method is having them fight battles beside others to form friendships since it does improve their satisfaction significantly.
