How to tell if its the enemy spy ??

Check the faction history of the character, and if they very recently left a faction that hates you it might be a spy. Dont think there is a way to 100% know if a character is a spy or not.

if the character hates his former leader then 99% he is not a spy

i got another question of spy, i fought an army where one general was my spy, but at none moment there was an option like, be a traitor on battlefield and delay or use your army against your friend,
i even have to duel him, after battle, i just have option for recall him thome .

It's wise to check their service history indeed and NOT hire them if they have talents in spying unless they are willing to spy for you during the job interview.

On details somewhere in top characters might have a flag with angry face next to them, indicating they have a grudge on someone.
