Non-Agression Pact Means NOTHING in this game

When i make an Non-Agression Pact with someone, They are declaring war to me without any warning or something. It can't be easy like that. There is no penalty for AI when they broke an Non-Agression Pact. But if i try to break an aggrement, they all want to f*ck me like im a traitor. This is worst part of the game.

There should be a setting allowing us to choose if the AI gets treated like the Human player or not. I imagine its because AI in all games is pretty stupid at times so it makes it more tough but I still think it would be nice to include it.

not if you are strong enough. and are you sure they dont pay a penalty? maybe other factions dont care if they break their treaty with you because they dont like you either. maybe other factions jump on you if you break treaties because they see you as a threat that they might be able to take care of. field a vast standing army and they will think twice. at least this is my experience.

yh, Im not too bothered as it has made it fun at times. Playing as Gongsun Zan, and Gongsun Du (I think) betrayed me taking a town, and killing my son! I was busy fighting Yuan Shao so it made the campaign intersting. Gongsun Zan didn't last long either.

None-aggression agreements become effective as game progresses as you become a stronger faction. In early game they mostly buy you additional time or let's you setup relations with other faction.

Keep in mind diplomatic personality traits as someone like Yuan Shu is not to be trusted, as someone like him can only be tamed by militaristic superiority and well garrisoned border regions.

What do you expect? The game is both broken and the DEVS designed it for the game to cheat. This is CA, after all.

Wow. Just...WOW. Care to elaborate? What I find interesting is that many of those who spout negativity instead of thoughtful criticism have their profiles marked as "private". I wonder why.

If you sign a NA pact, you can expect peace for X amount of turns depeding on circumstances. However, a wise man once said, If you want peace, prepare for war.
