Can i marry Zheng jiang?

Im the bandit king Zhang yan,and i wana marry Zheng jiang and create a sort of bandit empire with these two characters...how would i get this to happen? I have marriage offers with some other factions just not hers/her.

You can marry if you're her, but not him. Its impossible to marry early with the male bandit.

If you're playing as Zheng Jiang, just make +15 relationship trade deals back and forth until you can threaten him with marriage in the first round.

In my experience the person you want to marry must be able to join your court. So I would think it excludes rulers.

Only know this cause I tried to marry her with Ma Chao.

I played Lu Bu and saw her on the character pool so I recruit and married her so yea. I had also done it with Cao Cao before too.

You cannot marry her as Zhang Yan. She will never accept as long as she is faction leader since that is a form of confederation and impossible early game. If she is destroyed by another faction and isn't executed, then she might be single still and it is possible.

She starts the game unmarried, but as Zhang Yan doesn't have vision down that far to initiate diplomacy he cannot do it. If you had vision and could give enough items to get to around +300 relations you could use the diplomatic option to join faction through diplomacy, but would require some mods to meet the conditions. I know as Zheng Jiang it's possible do have Zhang Yans faction join through marriage on turn one, though took a mod that gave me a ton of itmes to boost relations high enough to do it, and even then had to throw in an ultimatum. Was amusing... "Marry me or it's war!" and he happily obliged.

Declare war on her right away and destroy her faction. Fight every battle and then release her and ransom the prisoners, make sure you keep doing this until her toon has a "green fondness" icon because you were a good chap and kept letting her go.

if you can, allow someone else to destroy the faction but beat her down to her last stronghold, if she "has become fond" you, the chance of capturing her is above average, but you might need to make a save roll it a few times as it's RNG.

Once you got her in your pool, divorce her from conqian if you havent killed him already and marry her.

Theres a mod on the nexus if you don't want to bother trying all that out yourself that gives you ZJ in CE 192 right at the beginning of the game as ZY.

You CAN marry her as any faction leader IF you are lucky. Her faction has to be destroyed and she had to survive it. Then there is a good chance she'll be available in your character pool soon. I have a feeling her favour towards your faction will matter if she will appear in your pool or someone else's.

i utterly destroyed Han Fu and he wound up in my pool...i guess it was me or Yuan shao and he chose the less hated lol

I've done it turn one with the "map Fog View Range" mod, that basically creates a massive visible circle from your start location allowing you to talk to her before she takes her first turn.

The issue there is the map looks hideous after (the region north of the mountains is visible even after removing the mod after saving) and you have diplo contact with 90% of the lords making the playthrough a bit easy.

I believe there's a movement cheat that would allow you to wallk up to her turn 1 and diplo too which would work better but not tried that. Interestingly if you marry her turn one she is quite satisfied - about 59 satisfaction and both are a good trait match. Sadly most of her court (Lu Sheng and Yin Le) disappear though.

Someone should add a savegame file as a mod after doing the long walk marriage method. Pretty sure it'd be quite popular.

You can confederate her, which is what I did. But I did it late game. Vassalage+Annexing is the same thing as confederating if you're okay with the treachery stigma.

I think faction leaders can appear in your recruitment pool even if you're the one that destroyed them, provided that you've at least captured and released them about 4-5 time beforehand, right?

Depends on the relations with her and your faction
