how many turns to avoid treachery penalty in diplomacy?
I am trying to achieve one of my main missions which is to defeat a faction I somewhat recently made a non aggression pact with. How many turns does it take to attack someone with no penalty? Anyone know?

Cancel the agreement you made first, bottom right side of the diplomacy screen you will see deals you made, you can cancel them there by clicking on the X. After you do that, when you go to declare war it will tell you how many turns you need to wait before it is not an act of treachery.

Edit: Cancel the agreement in the normal diplomacy/trade screen, not in the one that is warning you that you are about to commit an act of treachery.

I believe it is +1 turn of the original agreement. You can check and see how many turns until the treachery reduces by moving to break the treaty and you'll see the number, so one more turn than that.

So you are saying if I have +5 penalty it is 6 turns to have no penalty?

If you cancel an agreement, its 5 turns for no penalty. If you attack early and get a negative rep hit, its about 30 turns to completely shake it off.
