Total War: THREE KINGDOMS

Statistiche:
Stopped playing until fertility fix
I have now done 10+ campaigns as Gong Zan he has babies just fine but my heir no matter who he marries never has babies. Ruins the game a bit for me

I made a mod that stretches turns to 12 for a year (one for each month), basically makes generals last the whole campaign, there's also one for 8 floating on reddit. (default is 5)

Would that fix the issue for you ? It's how I decided to fix it until I can mod birthrate/add legendary traits to babies.

Are you guys choosing young wives? As soon as my wife hits 32, I divorce her and get a young bride. Much like in real life. haha

No but really, I just presumed they stopped having babies at a certain age---my experience has been that the young wives has babies, but the older ones NEVER produce a baby.

Yeah CA seriously need to look at this as i say im not playing until it's fixed is there any way we can get them to look here ?
I married Cao Pi to Sun Ren and they did have a few children so it worked for me at least. Might be a problem for purely generic characters though
It's a problem for the next generations and the generations after that

I've stopped playing until they fix the ridiculous vassal/coalition blobs. Same thing happens in the beta patch too. It's just a little slower to happen. I didn't even reach the kingdom portion of the game and Yuan Shao has 10 vassals. I have 2 vassals but in order to keep them have to to take a treachery hit and defened them against Yuan Shao. And if I don't defened them they'll probably just end up being his vassal at some point anyways. The player needs better tools to deal with these kind of things. They simply don't exist.

The only viable strategy is for me to pick off his vassals in a super long war. Peace isn't an option because I'll just end up in war again two turns later. I can't rush Yuan Shao down. 50 hour war just isn't fun.
Well I did made a guide vs yuan shao too but did you try to make yuan shao enemies with his neighbourhood first ? pay for it throw tons of money to make his neighbour your ally in early game like liu bei and then if needed declare war and ask "friend" to join. If they have good relation with you when he declare war against you he gonna have maluses with all your friend.

I know there's a scaling percentage to have children. Like 25% for the first child, 15% for second (random numbers, I don't know the actual values).

But it feels like this isn't resetting on a per character basis, so your initial lord uses up all the high percentages, and then his children are stuck at like 1% or lower.
That's it, exactly.
The base chance for children in tables is 50 (%?) and each child lowers this by 10 or 12 (don't remember exactly). So after 4 children in the family your chances of getting more are next to 0, except some characters with "fertile" trait like Lady Wu.
When the second generation comes of age, the "free slots" for children are mostly occupied by their brothers and sisters.
After editing the values to 100 and 0, i kept hitting end turn and they made children like a rabbit farm, even a third generation. So it's just a question of tweaking the game files to hit a sweet spot.

I hope this is a priority...how did it make it out of beta with such a bug I wonder? Did people play the game? I mean, it's pretty clearly broken after 3 or 4 campaigns.

Clearly CA did not play the game for very long , or completed the game in short turn times so they diden't get to generation 3 or 4 .
There is no 3rd generation in mine!

The only time I had a second Gen baby and it died, the gods are cruel :steamsad:
Your heir might be infertile, or ghey.
