I assume that's the old fashioned way Nyuk mentioned. :D
Any chance for a link to that thread?
Just be ready to deal with huge amounts of corruption as a result. Your income will likely actually drop despite the added territory, *because* of the added territory making it easier for the corrupt officials and suchlike to steal your income.
Still, even with the entire map painted your colour, by the very end-game of your reforms and structure upgrades you can reduce all but a handful of commanderies down to 0% corruption. The only exceptions, if I recall, are Wuwei and Shuofang (in the northeastern corner where Ma Teng and Han Sui start) and Yizhou Island, because they have either one or no adjacent commanderies to help with reducing it.
Yizhou Island needs an administrator, the others you can do without.
After the battle I decided I will not risk many troops so just took out there generals.. And withdraw fr battle.. After that I ended up getting the event of zhao yun has come to aid liu bei..
I believe it triggers when liu is defeated in battled or wounded?.. Not 100% sure on it but.. I had got it after I faced 1 stack of full enemy's and another half stack.. And just fighting there generals and withdrawing...
But I seeked spouse at the start of my campaign playing as liu.. Theb I withdraw.. I think it invokes a son also as history had it zhao aved liu son..
80% of the tome this has worked for me.
The event tends to get buried under a lot of others and thus doesn't trigger if it gets pushed to the back of the queue.
