Death of Sun Ce event
Who balanced some of these event choices? Like how is Sun Ce dies vs. Sun Ce lives really even a choice?

There are some others like this that aren't story related too, where one choice is all negative vs. one that's all positive, and I honestly can't fathom the thought process behind them.

are you talking about the "general" has been captured by bandits or w/e and you have to pay 500 to keep them or they die?

this is a sandbox game that is loosely based on the book/historical events. they have to add in random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

no he talked about the event in the story playing as Sun Jian. yeah, I just chose Sun Ce death, and nothing happened after that. thought there would be more but nothing. lost my legendary character. useless event ever. :v.

I never lost Sun Jian and kept the seal by stealing liu biao's vassals

never seen it beat the game as sun jian , kept the seal kept sun ce as my heir. i even ended up with sima yi as a general.

i did the story missions of kill the vassals, kill the lady up river from you, kill the guy in the corner of the map. then the mission of kill cao cao and liu bei kind of fell flat because 3 kingdoms event kicked up after i killed the han empire.

never had an event for sun ce death i can remember except a pay bandits 500 to keep him. i dont really understand the event but i guess it lets you get lucky and remove a general you dont like.

Some of you seem to be missing the point entirely. I understand it's a historical event, and I understand why the event is in the game.

What I do not understand is why (and this applies to other events as well) would I choose one option which only has a negative outcome over one which only has a positive outcome? Give me reason to choose for Sun Ce to die, like Sun Ce dies but you get +20 satisfaction for all generals as they unify under their new ruler. Or Sun Ce lives but Sun Quan gets -50 satisfaction.

But as it is, the choice is pretty much made for you... unless you're roleplaying the story, but that's not even really feasible since there's no event for Sun Jian's death and everything else has derailed so far from history by the time this event pops up.

There is an event for Sun Jian's death. He can be killed off by liu biao's ambush
it's not supposed to be a dilemma that has positives or negatives. It's literally just "okay... do you want to follow the book, you can but (X) will have to die." If you like the hero, keep him and move on. If you like the story more, kill him. Ez pz

If you want more from them, just wait for the mod kit. I get you want to have more purpose and decision weighing aspects out of these events but they are mearly mini difficulty settings tailored to the faction to continue the story
