Zheng Jiang Succession Line

So I am currently playing through a Zheng Jiang campaign and have advanced quite far into it. I married Zheng Jiang to Lu Bu and had three children. Now because I am Zheng Jiang her children occupy her family name Zheng as opposed to male's family name (i.e. Zheng Dian and not Lu Dian) which is a quality I believe only she has.

However, my problem is, I married Zheng Dian (Zheng Jiang's son) to a woman named Lady Wu Zhenzhen and they have been fortunate enough to have a child. This child who is a boy, does not take the family name of the father (Zheng Jiang's succesion trait) and so is called Lady Wu Zhou (yes he has this name and he is a boy).

I really want the family name of Zheng to be carried down the line but I think with the programming of Zheng Jiang's faction all children will carry the mothers name. And so as a result of this my faction will now become Lady Wu as opposed to Zheng which I don't really like the sound of.

Is there any way around this? So it was acceptable for Zheng Jiang to be able to give her children her name because she is the Bandit Queen, but because roles have been reversed and she had three sons it means her family name will end which is unfortunate. Just want every child born to bear the name Zheng as its her family's line of succession.

You'll very likely finish the game before it's a problem, but I was fortunate enough to have a girl despite being second I made her the heir.

Sounds like you had a royalty issue going on. The child will take the name of whoever is highest ranked, so if the person was a former faction leader or is a faction leader, the children will take their name. If someone has Lady in their name, it means they were the wife of a faction leader, and at some point in time became faction leader considering your kids came out as Lady Wu. Which makes sense because Lady Wu typically takes over Sun Jian, then has kids with some other dude, who you probably married, and then their kids became part of the Lady Wu lineage.
