Destiny of an Emperor

Everything I know about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms comes from playing Destiny on the NES. I'm pretty sure that makes me an expert on the time period.

... thats where you get your info? I assumed most Three Kingdoms fans are fans because of the games Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Dynatsy Warriors.

I played some of the Romance games as well, but for whatever reason a buddy and I got Destiny of an Emperor and it sunk its teeth into us. 2 guys who didn't know our Beijing from our Hong Kong, but by the end of that game I felt like I could write my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dissertation on the Three Kingdoms period of ancient China.

well i never played it but i remember seeing it around the old school games threads i see occasionally. Its like an RPG than anything. I remember playing something similar called Shingen the Ruler

I owned and was obsessed with Shingen the Ruler back in the day. I preferred it to Nobunaga's Ambition or any other turn based strategy game. Those big castle sieges in particular just really scratched my strategy itch.

I still have that bad boy boxxed up. I think if they made a new on of that it would be nice. I guess its kind of like a proto-ROTK
