Anyone have any basic fighting tips?

You start the game with a sword, but instead of swinging it like a sword I seem to be more effective swising it around like I'm dusting furniture. It's a far less manly fighting style than what I was hoping to adopt.

Right now the teleporting wizards (with their staffs, throwing knives and ability to turn invisible) always kill me. This is literally the first level, just past the dogs. Any tips or advice would be helpful. Cheers.

just got past fighting more than 4 at once, but it's very hard for me also. scabbed by, by hiding behind a wall ducking in and out (in the realworld). remember to rest and not teleport too much or swing your weapon to get health back faster.

I didn't know about the not moving and getting health back faster. (That'll come in handy).
