So what exactly is this? Is it a prequel of some kind and when does it take place? I've already played the first Corpse Party, Book of Shadows and Blood Drive.

It should be between book shadow and blood drive but,
as far as I can tell it's just a fanservice game for some quick cash

This is the third game in the series, released after Book of Shadows and before Blood Drive. It takes place during the events of Book of Shadows, introducing characters and plot elements such as Azusa and the Calavera Doll that appear in Blood Drive.

I wouldn't call it a prequel, its more of a canon Spin-off game.

Hilarious game and well worth the money, don't listen to party pooper Teram up there lol.

It's not being a party pooper. but after the really good game that was the first one, and the so-so but still good book of shadows, I was expecting another worth horror that could scare me just like the others did.

You'd be terribly wrong. Playing this game actually makes Blood Drive much easier to follow and understand.

What's there to be disappointed about? Blood Drive is still coming, and so is Dead Patient, this one just happened to come first because it makes sense that way.

Its a fanservice game indeed, that like stated above (with less spoilers lol *cough* Jackkel *cough*) introduces new characters that Blood Drive just expects you to know already.
Its hilarious, well written, sometimes a bit scary.
It certainly isn't a waste of money if you can just step back and enjoy something funny that eventually turns into something somewhat emotional lol.
If you can't do that then, just skip it.

I just want these games to do well so GrisGris makes more chapters for Dead Patient.

Well regardless of party pooper, I'd prefer a more detailed analysis to prove it's a waste of time. It got my money fo sho. Hopefully it helps show the publisher and devs that we want more CORPSE PARTY.

I've played the preceding corpse party games in the series and I think this game is definitely worth taking the time to play. I've only played up to chapter 3 but its been a blast so far.

A weeb, put simply=a person who pretends to be Japanese, pretending they know anything about Japan.

A Japanese game could never be weeb, not only because its a thing, but because it was made in Japan in the first place. :p
