after the opening, it's just black screen and music, you can still move the mouse

After changing screen resolution the screen is black but you can still hear interactions

Try disabling the aspect setting in the game's INI file.
You can also manually edit the resolution there if, for whatever reason, a resolution is not working correctly.

I may try to skip the opening but, although it makes the sound that makes me think it recognizes my command, the opening continues to play and I need to wait for it to finish before continuing the game each time it starts up.

I'm not 100% sure this isn't my computer's fault... my computer isn't up to snuff in a lot of ways and even just playing the opening is quite a bit lagged. Given that, I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing the issue of not being able to skip it.

The opening cutscene is choppy but the music is fine

the solution to the black screen error is to browse the local files and find "corpseparty2u". from there you want to manually change the resolution to the correct size. i found that this fixed the issue. when i go into the settings, it just says the game is windowed still.

The game is only allowing me up to 1080p on my 4k screen (display 1), but allows up to 4k for my 1080 screen (display 2). Trying to adjust in the Ini allows me to play in 4k in windowed, but if I set windowed mode to 0, the game boots up in 1080p instead. I guess it's a bug? Atleast I can't think of another reason, since i'm encountering it here for the first time, it seems the game is mixing up the max. resolutions of the screens for some reason. Not sure if anything is going to happen since it's 3.5 years after release, but doesn't hurt to mention it I guess.

Edit: Now i set windowmode to 1 and it seems to run in (borderless?)fullscreen at 4k atleast.

cannot get a proper full screen when selected in-game(when selected i can only see about quarter of it in the top left, the rest is a black screen, so i guess - what can i do to the ini file
