more speed = more power

Simple as this: A jet engine IS NOT the same as a ramjet, rather than using a turbine to combine fuel and oxygen, a ramjet uses hyper sonic air to combine fuel and oxygen therefore, speed = power.

There aren't actual ramjets in the game, the dev is aware of that need.

But what I can advise to make a copy of J58 engine, used in Sr-71. You can make an engine with low bypass, bypass value as high as possible, afterburner with maximum bypass mixing.
Adding to that You should make the compression ratio as low as possible, around 1-4, that will require You to have a very high idle throttle.

With all those settings in place You might be able to start hitting Mach 4 with a good plane.

I hope it helps.

i tried this kind of engines, it works well to establish hight speed in a straight line but have very slow acceleration, making it very difficult to use on a fighter type plane, there is a ramjet part in the current game, but i'm currently trying to have the MegaNewton worth of thrust that some players manage to have with them
