Why is the game crashing when i go to flight mode

I just got the game a few minutes ago and tried to fly one of the airplane models, but as it loads, the game simply just crashes. Is there any reason why it is doing this?

i have had the same problem but sometimes keyboard mashing works, sometimes it dosen't

This is often a problem linked to a hinge that is too small in scale and too small in mass.
To solve this you must either increase the size of the hinge or the slider mass multiplier of it... Yes, such a small detail can crash the game.
(For anyone who had this problem a few minutes after purchasing the game, I suppose it was with the basic included planes so it's not that.)
