we all know u used his likeness and his proffession to make ichiban in the game
now i wanne say i do find it cool to find a likeness like him in the game and i will play this beause he made this video
he will also give you guys allot of exposure but you should contact him and maby give him an offer or something he deserves this because of the obvious reference and likeness
or at least contact him

Flamishboy, Freakish meant to use the word "referenced." It means that they referred to him or mentioned him, but it's not exactly the right word for what the devs did here. They said in the response video that Markiplier wasn't even the inspiration for Ichiban. They just created a character that they thought matched the stereotype for a YouTuber. Most of his traits would fit with many gaming YouTubers: dyed hair, being outgoing and a bit "over the top", making random references... all of this is pretty generic as YouTubers go. The thing that I think got most people to think of Markiplier is that the voice actor's voice is pretty deep and Markiplier is well known for his deep voice.

Well, his human form bears a strong resemblance to Markiplier, especially as he has pink dyed hair. That, in addition to references that seemed to be directly related to him, made the argument that they were the same extremely strong. After releasing their response video, at least one of his lines has been changed.
