theres guides you can search for. If you want a REALLY easy method, I'd get OPENXCOMEXTENDED, add it as an EXE install somewhere (the windows one, stay with me) add it to steam, and run it through a proton layer. Controls and stuff will need to be mapped out for the controller, but it will absolutely run this way no problem
