Having trouble getting X-Piratez to work

so i saw a lets play of this thought it looked cool thought i would try and install it.

Does the zip/rar already have openxcom or do i need to install that and it together? i own the base game as well and do i copy the entire folder into or just the file?

I am pretty sure X-Piratez requires an existing vanilla OpenXcom installation seeing as it is a mod. It should go in the mods folder right? Most other mods that I have seen do.

Thank you i made a serperate desktop folder and was actually copying over *ALL* of the xcom vanilla files and not the few it needed.
I have enjoyed what i played so far any advice or threads discussing it?

I haven't played it yet but I will do once I finish my current run. No idea about other threads but you could look at the X-Piratez section of the OpenXcom forum or search here
