Executable?
What is the name of the .exe file this game runs off?

When launching it from Steam, it will run the dosbox executable in the install folder (dosbox.exe). Dosbox will use the configuration file located alongside the executable (dosbox.conf), which contains autoexec commands that will mount the appropriate folder and then call ufocd.bat in the XCOM folder. It is this ufocd.bat file that should be used for running the game from DOSBOX, not the individual executable files, as the game intentionally uses error codes to handle program flow.

If you're looking to play UFO Defense without using DOSBOX, though, I would suggest just grabbing a NIGHTLY version of OpenXCOM and using that. (The 1.0 "milestone" build is horribly out of date to the point where just about everyone strongly encourages using the nightly builds, especially if you ever plan on using mods)

You can get OpenXCOM from https://openxcom.org/ and if you use the installer, when it asks for an installation of UFO: Enemy Unknown or XCOM: UFO Defense, point it towards the XCOM folder in the steam installation (the one with the .bat file, not the one with the dosbox executable). If you happen to have Terror from the Deep as well, you can point the installer to that when prompted for it.

Alright. Thanks. I had deleted the original dosbox executable and replaced it with the OpenXCOM executable.
