Cmon, we all know that the only reason we play this is nostalgia as it is quite sub par by nowadays standards, so my question is how old are you guys ?

Without giving spoilers.. In the new X-COM 2 there's a time limit where the aliens build a project and you lose if they finish it. Is there something present in this game, where there's always a time clock towards defeat?

There's something about the vibe of this game. I feel like I'm running an undercover operation to fight back against UFOs. I played some XCOM 2 and it was fun, but I want the vibe of fighting invasion, not being a resistance group

Your first UFO usually gives you a couple plasma rifles or heavy plasma- research those and you have plasma interceptors and the game's already broken wide open You just need a few captures after that, really. Grab a navigator for hyperwave and you basically have no geoscape pressure if you slap a second base down- you can fill out the research tree at your own leisure without actually having to do any missions, then do a single battleship for your leader/commander and you're off to Cydonia comfortably I...
