Seems to give an advantage on full lean to run tighter quicker lines?
If you're in the right gear, beast at braking, and make sure you trail brake into the turn
then it would be ideal to tuck in right at the apex, then cut right out. Imo Sepang has great
corners where you can use tuck in to cut towards the apex.
Also how come "tuck in" helps at full lean!?
In my experience it helps only if you're not acclerating while taking a corner. It also seems
to oversteer the bike which helps shoot out at certain corners. imo really helps in rain races when you're coming out of a corner.
These are just my oberservations while playing the game. If anyone wants to add on to what I have to say please do so. I have also thought a lot about the "tuck in" feature and how to use it competitively, but it's hard to master.
So as i expected tuck-in is wrongly done in the game and should be removed.
Tucking in a straight line is so obvious part of riding races. There is actually no point in having the option of "not tucking in".
The tuck-in function in the game is to gain mid corner or coming out of corner as laghard explains.
Which is just part of steering the bike and nothing to do with "tucking".
In real life you never see riders "tucking" more to get more lean. They have a riding style and they stick to it. They don't go to a certain lean angle and leave a small percentage so they can "tuck in" more.
Also as i explained in real life they tuck out more to steer the bike coming out of corners now a days.
So the whole tuck-in is flawed and should be removed.
