Square Enix keep giving us 5$ games for 80$ so ofc Bandai try the same (even tho Bandai do better than SE nowadays...), most of which ain't even worth a modded skyrim --'
Double C attack in center skill tree, absolute must. Rotation is RMB LMB C C, infinite mana.
Abuse the electrified C attack for AOE stun / mana regen, spam it + duplication for 3x it and chainsaw through tougher enemies.
Abuse Hypervelocity and invisibility for chained crits and killcams of weaklings.
Brain drive state that reduces mana use, regens it, and heals you is very good.
Ultimate ability thing is uh yeah that. Abuse it to just win bossfights immediately.
No no no. Put it this way:
Scarlet Nexus is a RPG with an interesting narrative, art, and game-play style that is constantly undercut by horrid pacing, annoying/insufferable characters, bad writing, overly repetitive game play, and an empty world.
Next you need to support the arguments you made in your hook:
In kasane's story it takes around 5ish hours for the story to even "begin". The characters are cookie cutter tropes you've seen before, only getting fleshed out in non/semicannon side stories. Writers introduce ideas and abandon them, plot holes aplenty (KAREN). Gameplay fails to evolve throughout the game, leaving you with little different from the start. The world is just barren of meaningful things outside of the main story. 1/2
Some other issues I have with SN, in no order.
SN's narrative style is heavily inspired by manga and anime, and this also applies to the way dialogue and cutscenes are handled. They decided to use a fully voiced Manga panel style which admittedly makes me uncomfortable; as it comes off as lazy and bogs down the pacing. This is especially annoying because SN's environment and art design can be gorgeous, the VA's are genuinely trying, and the animated cutscenes are beautiful; however most of the story is experienced through the manga panel to its detriment.
Another issue is the mini tutorials through Haruka and Wateru. They pop up every time there's an elemental attack used by an enemy and give a loud and annoying supprised comment and say some obvious line like "HAH?! Was that water?! If it soaks you, you'll be wet; making you vulnerable to electrical attacks." They can do this every map with every element. I'd say it's not too bad, I didn't notice them shutting up even after I turned off tutorials... 2/3
This last point is an issue with immersion. The OSF is an advanced military organization whose sole role is to be the OTHER SUPPRESSION FORCE. Others being the magic monsters only special espers like kasane and co. can kill, for some reason. There is another organization with the 'normal' soldiers being boring normal espers who defend the only nation on the planet from 'outside forces' that aren't others. Yup that's the real explanation used in game. Now there is an unspecified number of these normal soldiers, but it was implied during the first fight with Karen that 40 OSF soldiers was ~half of the entire force. It was also implied that Karen took the lion's share of the OSF when he left to the other city that now declared independence. This group is so small the entire known army fits into a real US platoon; and somehow they are adequately defending what looks to be mainland japan. 3/3
Whoever play this game using KB/mouse must be ultimate masochist.
Ty for the info, it looked good and i thought of giving it a shoot, but then i saw all the negative critic and wanted to check the forum aswell. Too bad its not half as decend as Code Vein.
